Lauren is 28 years old and a graduate of Roosevelt University. She holds degrees in psychology and liberal studies.  She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two kids. Lauren has had type 1 diabetes since she was 7 years old. Her interests include dance, music, literature, art and writing. She is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness and education as well as for mental illness awareness and understanding.
