Weekend Weather Forecast for the North Shore

While the weather will become unsettled later Friday and Saturday, gradual improvement can be expected during the second half of the weekend as a frontal boundary shifts south of the area. Temperatures will average below normal over the next several days with a decent chunk of cold air Saturday and Sunday, which may result in some the development of patchy frost by early Sunday morning. Easter and Passover Weekend Weather Forecast for the North Shore

A near normal weekend, climatologically speaking, will be on tap for the region with the warmest day on Saturday with highs in the 60’s. Much of the weekend will be rain free with possibly just an isolated shower or two late Saturday night and early Sunday ahead of a fast moving cool front. A weather system currently moving through the area Friday will rapidly move to the east with a mostly quiet weekend expected. A warm front moving through late Saturday night and into early Sunday may be responsible for a few showers with a major warm-up expected during the second half of the weekend and early in the week and that’s no fooling. A slow moving system moving up from the south may produce a few light showers by Sunday afternoon and evening; however, the system has the potential to slow down with the heaviest rain expected to fall over central and southern Illinois. Now with a snow pack on the ground, temperatures will be colder during the next few days with highs in the 20s this weekend and lows in the teens.
