Des Plaines fire and police departments responded to a crash at Miner and Lee streets after 5 p.m. on Nov. 19, Fire Chief Alan Wax said.
One person was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge following a crash involving one vehicle that rolled onto its side at Miner and Lee streets after 5 p.m. on Nov. 19, Des Plaines Fire Chief Alan Wax said. Des Plaines police and fire departments responded to the scene. Wax said there were three additional injured people that were not transported to the hospital. Wax said firefighters extricated one person from the rolled-over vehicle. “I do not know the patient’s condition, but the paramedics indicated that the injuries were not life-threatening,” Wax said. The Mount Prospect man that struck a bus and truck on Friday had cardiovascular disease, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Mount Prospect man that veered across Elmhurst road, and hitting a Pace bus, guardrail and semi-truck on Friday died of cardiovascular disease, a representative from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said on Tuesday. Charles Dessent, 61, had hypertensive cardiovascular disease, and the representative from the medical examiner’s office said his manner of death was natural, according to the autopsy report. Dessent’s 2003 Cadillac was traveling southbound on Elmhurst Road at Oakton Street in the outside lane when it veered off the road and sideswiped a Pace bus that was stopped to pick up passengers on Elmhurst Road, south of Oakton Street at 6:25 a.m., according to Des Plaines police. A 2003 Cadillac side-swiped a Pace bus, struck a guard rail and crashed into a truck on Friday morning, according to Des Plaines police.
A Mount Prospect man was killed this morning after police reported he crashed into a Pace bus and tractor trailer on Friday morning, Des Plaines police stated on Friday. The man was driving his 2003 Cadillac southbound on Elmhurst Road at Oakton Street in the outside lane when he veered off the road and sideswiped a Pace bus that was stopped to pick up passengers on Elmhurst Road, south of Oakton Street at 6:25 a.m. The man’s vehicle continued southbound on Elmhurst Road after swiping the bus, crossed to the east side of Elmhurst Road and struck a guard rail.
