Rollover Crash at Miner, Lee Streets Sends One to Hospital

Des Plaines fire and police departments responded to a crash at Miner and Lee streets after 5 p.m. on Nov. 19, Fire Chief Alan Wax said.

One person was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge following a crash involving one vehicle that rolled onto its side at Miner and Lee streets after 5 p.m. on Nov. 19, Des Plaines Fire Chief Alan Wax said. Des Plaines police and fire departments responded to the scene. Wax said there were three additional injured people that were not transported to the hospital. Wax said firefighters extricated one person from the rolled-over vehicle. “I do not know the patient’s condition, but the paramedics indicated that the injuries were not life-threatening,” Wax said. One Fatality after Vehicle Hits Pedestrian

Incident occurred early Tuesday morning.

Report updated at 2:57 p.m. on Dec. 13. Deputy Chief Angela Burton said the victim was identified, but that information has not been released yet. Burton said no one else, including the driver of the vehicle, a Chevrolet Malibu, was taken to the hospital. She said the woman was crossing the street at the time of the crash. Originally reported at 1:02 p.m. on Dec. 13. A 46-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle travelling westbound on Oakton Street at 5th Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a press release filed by the Des Plaines Police Department today. The intersection is northwest of Lake Opeka. The scene is being processed and an investigation is underway, according to the release. No charges are pending at this …
