Veterans Museum Grand Opening in Des Plaines

The grand opening to the new Veterans of Foreign Wars Museum will take place on Nov. 10.

A new museum is opening in Des Plaines on Saturday, and it is steadily revealing military artifacts from hiding. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2992 will host a grand opening for its new museum, which will include items and information from all branches of the U.S. military, at Oakton Pavilion, 1660 Oakton Place, at 10 a.m. on Nov. 10. The retirement community is partnering with the VFW post for the project.
