Students dress to the nines for a final farewell.

After a day of graduation practice, Maine South's senior class gathered at the Rosemont Convention Center Friday evening for a final school celebration. Boys donned dapper suits, girls wore elaborate and elegant dresses.  The soon-to-be graduates ran from one end of the banquet hall to the other snapping photos with their friends.  The theme of the evening was "casino royale." Decorations played on a gambling motif. Maine South Assistant Principal Dr. Rose Garlasco stated of the evening, "It's exciting to see the kids all dressed up and having a good time.  It's about them growing up and their transition to adulthood." At the request of Maine Township High School District 207, Patch is providing only partial identification of prom-goers.
