UPDATE: Male Shot Outside Old Orchard Mall in Skokie
A male subject was shot near the intersection of Golf Road and Skokie Boulevard on Friday around 9:45 p.m., police said. Multiple police agencies, including the sheriff's department are on the scene.
Update 05/18, 9:45 a.m. ~ Officers responding to the area observed a male subject lying on the ground in the 4800 block of Golf Road. According to police, the person suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He is currently in stable condition. There have been no arrests as of this time. A press release issued this morning stated there would be more details on Monday, May 20.
