Men Face Residential Burglary Charges; Des Plaines Police Investigating

Des Plaines police are continuing an investigation into two men they say committed multiple residential burglaries.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Chicago, Des Plaines and Park Ridge police departments. It does not indicate a conviction. Two Des Plaines men arrested after committing a residential burglary while under surveillance of law enforcement were charged with multiple counts of residential burglary, according to the Chicago Police Department. At least three law enforcement agencies were involved in the arrests of Mariusz Poplawski, 24, and Sebastian Dybala, 23, both of Des Plaines on Feb. 7. Burglary Charges Forthcoming for Des Plaines Men

Des Plaines police are still investigating how many burglaries, they say, two men are responsible for committing in the area.

Two Des Plaines men will face burglary charges following a surveillance operation conducted by the Park Ridge Police Department, according to a statement from Des Plaines police on Friday. Mariusz Poplawski, 24, of Des Plaines, and Sebastian Dybala, 23, of Des Plaines, were arrested after police saw them rob a condo building, police stated. Poplawski and Dybala were put under surveillance, police stated, after being identified as active burglars on the Northwest side of Chicago and in the Northwest suburbs. Police followed Poplawski and Dybala to a condominium complex on the 8700 block of W. Bryn Mar Avenue on Feb. 7, according to the report, where Dybala waited in the vehicle while Poplawski burglarized the condo building. Des Plaines …
