Maine West, Plainfield Elementary Locked Down, Police Take Suicidal Person into Custody

Des Plaines police requested Maine West High School and Plainfield Elementary School to be placed on soft lockdown this morning while they responded to a report of a suicidal subject just south of Maine West at about 8:24 a.m., said Sgt. Michael Holdman. In a soft lockdown teachers are asked to keep their students in their classrooms, Holdman said.
