The second spring session of classes and activities begins at Lattof YMCA next week. This week is your last chance to sign up for a wide variety of programs from children and adults, including dodge ball, floor hockey, handball, martial arts, pilates, racquetball, rock climbing, swimming, tennis, water polo and yoga. There are programs for children ages two to five, six to eight, nine to 12 and for adults. The Spring II session runs for eight weeks, from April 15 to June 9. Entertainment options abound in Des Plaines this week; get your tickets before it’s too late.
The Des Plaines Theatre and Rivers Casino have plenty of entertainment choices this week including live music and stand-up comedy. Stand-up comedian James Fritz will headline a show at Des Plaines Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on April 7. The show is part of an ongoing Chicago comedy series at the theater, and will also include performances by Kenny DeForest and Timothy Brochu.
