Hit-And-Run Death of Des Plaines Woman Leads to Felony Charges

Charges were filed against an Aurora man, who is still at large, according to police, in connection with the traffic crash that left a Des Plaines woman dead and others injured, WLS reported.

Gustavo Villarreal, 44, of Aurora, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death, leaving the scene of an accident involving injury and two other counts in connection with a hit-and-run incident that left a Des Plaines woman dead and others injured in January, WLS reported. Villarreal remains at large, WLS reported, and his family is cooperating with the investigation.

Felony Charges Follow Hit-and-Run Fatal to Des Plaines Woman

Law enforcement charged a man from unincorporated Aurora with four felonies for leaving the scene of an accident, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Police announced they are searching for the owner of a vehicle, Gustavo Villarreal, of unincorporated Aurora, that struck and killed a Des Plaines woman in Aurora on Jan. 21, the Chicago Tribune reported. Police stated four felony counts for leaving the scene of an accident were filed against Villarreal, the newspaper reported.
