Expert Panel At Abt Present Holiday Gadget Gift Guide

From iPad accessories to Google's Nexus 7 tablet, Abt and a panel of tech bloggers help you figure out the perfect gadgets to give this holiday season.

Buying the perfect holiday gift can be tricky — especially when it comes to gadgets. Luckily a panel of tech bloggers and Abt Electronics are teaming up to help you make the right decisions. The panelists include Ars Technica’s Chris Foresman, WGN’s Marcus LeShock and Nancy Loo, the RedEye’s Elliott Serrano and Chicagonista.com’s MJ Tam. Sure, a holiday gift can range from a $30 stocking stuffer to a brand new flat-screen TV. But not all gifts are created equal. On the low end are peripherals and gift cards. Anyone with an iPhone or an iPod can use an iTunes gift card to buy music or apps. And if they have an iPhone 5 or the newest iPods, they’ll need one of Apple’s Lightning to 30-Pin adapters. Emergency Presents: Walgreens can "Fix It"

A trip to Walgreens for an emergency present shockingly nets something genuinely useful.

I'm in love. Since Thanksgiving I've toured Des Plaines in search of cheap and easy presents for people you barely know. So far I've checked out K-Mart's pre-packaged gift options , Target's rack of interchangeable presents,  and taken a trip to the Dollar Store for those in search of presents for those of you too embarrassed to show up with something that has $10 proudly written on the box. This week, I visited Walgreens (which is open Christmas Eve) in search of a truly last minute $10 present. There's an entire wall of dubious horrors to choose from. "Bumpits," the hair accessory for people who are either moving to Texas or joining the cast of Jersey Shore. Hands free soap dispensers (Target and K-Mart offered these, too) for people who…
