I figured I should write an actual review of Maine West since there are a lot of unrelated comments on this page already (sorry about that!) Maine West was an excellent school which prepared me well both academically and socially. I attribute much of my academic success to the foundation I received at MW. I had excellent teachers at MW, particularly in the social science and english departments. I also was a member of band and orchestra for four years and I had a very good experience with the fine arts department. The band director (who started my junior year and is still at MW) is the best! I was also involved in extracurricular activities such as French Club, NHS and The Westerner, which enhanced my experiences at West. I made lifelong friends at MW. Best yet, my academic experience at MW allowed me to both achieve college credits while still in HS thanks to the AP courses offered and they gave me such an excellent academic background that I received a full scholarship to college. I did not pay a dime thanks to academic scholarships- thanks MW! Maine West is a great school with much to offer its students- GO WEST! :)
