Des Plaines City Hall is home to the offices of Mayor Martin J. Moylan, Director of Media Services Karen Kozenczak, City Clerk Gloria J. Ludwig, City Attorney Dave Wiltse, Acting City Manager Jason T. Slowinski and others who keep this great city going.
Since 2009, Mayor Moylan has been responsible for seeing that all laws in Des Plaines are properly enforced. He presides over Council meetings, supervises city employees and serves as the liquor commissioner, in addition to many other duties.
Media Director Kozenczak acts as a media liaison for public relations, press releases, event coordination and more.
City Clerk Ludwig maintains Council records, administers oaths of office and maintains and distributes the Key to the City, among other responsibilities.
City Attorney Wiltse is legal advisor for Mayor Moylan, the Council and staff members. This office cannot advise residents or represent them, but it can guide them in finding legal representation. As acting city manager, Slowinski and the manager's office are responsible for ensuring the execution of the Council's working agenda and policies, as well as advising them and supporting city staff.
