City of Des Plaines All Depts

Serving the residents of Des Plaines since 1835, the department is divided into three divisions: Operations, Investigations and Support Services.  Among standard bureaus like traffic, detective and juvenile the Des Plaines P.D. also has an accident reconstruction team as well as there own S.W.A.T., the Tactical Response Team. Among fighting crime, they also attend events in the community providing safety information and are happy to provide a police car for the kiddies at block parties and the like. They are also a part of the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System as well as the Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT).
