Should communities have a say over what is an appropriate fashion statement?

Jeff Davis Parish in Louisiana has banned saggy pants, KPLC TV reported.

"I don't want my grandchild seeing someone's rear end," Betty Ballard told the TV station.

The ordinance means local law enforcement will be able to take action if someone is seen bustin a sag: They can issue a warning or a fine.

Sheriff Ivy Woods told KPLC that saggy pants displays a "total disregard for the respect of people around you."
