Long said theater security asked the man to get down from the railing just before he fell.

“I’m not sure if he fell on accident or intended to fall,” Long said, saying the investigation was ongoing.

The man struck the second floor before landing in the food court. That may have prevented death. Long said there was no indication of foul play.

“The question is, was it an accident or did he intend for it to happen?” Long said.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported two people had jumped to their deaths in the same spot, but did not give any specifics.
