Meet Dave Kaplan, WGN afternoon drive sports reporter and one of the most trusted names on the Chicago sports scene, at Golf Center Des Plaines, 353 N. River Road, on June 20 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Kaplan will be on the range, named one of Golf Range Magazines’ Top 100 premier year-round practice facility, hitting balls and calling in to the station. The WGN Fan Van will also be on hand to add to the excitement.
Kaplan is the host of WGN Sports Night, weeknights, 7:00-10:00pm, Cubs Insider, Sundays leading up to Cubs broadcasts, the 10th Inning, the Cubs post game show, and Cubs Confidential. During college football and basketball seasons, he is also a play-by-play and color commentator on Comcast Sports Net and ESPN.
Golf Center Des Plaines features a three tiered, 80 heated bay driving range, 1½ acre short game practice area, a Rick Jacobson designed 9-hole, par-3 lighted course, and a grass tee practice area.
