Catholic Charities Golf Benefit

Catholic Charities' Northwest Regional Office welcomes golfers and sponsors for its inaugural golf outing, which will benefit the agency's Senior Services  in the Northwest suburbs.

The outing will take place Wednesday, September 22, at the Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. The course is known for its challenging and unique links-style golf.  The $250 per person, or $1000 per foursome reservation includes: full lunch buffet from 11:15 to 12:15 pm, use of the driving range and three putting greens, Florida Scramble with a 12:30 shotgun start, beverage cart, six holes of contests, two hole-in-one car prizes, three hour open bar, buffet dinner, auction items and awards. Major raffle prizes include golf with Randy Hundley at prestigious Lake Barrington Shores Golf Club, trip to either Palm Beach or New York City for a private portrait session with world-reknown photographer Bradford and a "mini" lesson from a Lake Barrington Shores Golf Club Professional.

Senior Services activities promote the individual dignity, worth and quality of life for needy area seniors, many of whom are veterans or wives of deceased veterans.  Proceeds raised will help  keep programs like Meals on Wheels and Homemaking/Chore Assistance alive - thus preventing premature nursing home placement.  In 2009, $54 million was allocated to deliver Catholic Charities programs to seniors in the archdiocese of Chicago.
