Outing Highlights McDonald’s History in Des Plaines

“Time to Dine!” is the next Historic Adventure sponsored by the Des Plaines History Center that will focus on the history of the McDonald’s Corporation.

The public is cordially invited to attend by gathering at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 27 at the History Center for a presentation by Michael Bullington, an archivist for the McDonald’s Corporation. This will be followed by an outdoor tour of the original McDonald’s restaurant on Lee Street.

Participants will also have the opportunity to share their own “McDonald memories” about working in a restaurant or special experiences shared with their families and friends. Children are welcome to attend.

Grice, III day-trips, outings, dinners, and occasional “in-house” programs of local or historic interest are offered to the community and History Center members.
