Close Encounters of the Chemical Kind Lands at Forest Elementary

Students took part in "Close Encounters of the Chemical Kind."

 

Forest Elementary School PTC recently sponsored a chemistry assembly staged by Science Alliance that was inspiring and informational.  

“Close Encounters of the Chemical Kind” was orchestrated by Bill Bosworth, who taught high school chemistry, physics, and biology for 10 years in Lake Geneva, Wisc. The presentation wowed Forest students with chemical reactions, while performing experiments with color changes, gooey Gak, springy Superballs, and more.

Electrifying displays were coupled with discussions of safety procedures and equipment. 40-50 student volunteers participated in demonstrating the various principles.
