Report: Des Plaines Favors Tax Break To Land Bus Company

The Daily Herald reports that Des Plaines supports a property tax break to bring Motor Coach Industries to town.

Des Plaines City Council is supportive of a property tax break to help Motor Coach Industries relocate its headquarters from Schaumburg, the Daily Herald reported.

The company would consolidate 37 full-time employees in Schaumburg and 30 from Des Plaines in a building at 200 E. Oakton Street, the newspaper reported. Alderman expressed support for a property tax incentive to keep MCI in town, however, MCI's operation would generate about $5 million in sales tax revenue a year, the newspaper reported.
