Petition Objections for Mayor, Alderman Candidates Filed

Objections to nominating petitions for two candidates running for Des Plaines government seats were filed on Jan. 3, the Des Plaines City Clerk's office stated.

Objections to nominating petitions for two candidates running for Des Plaines government seats were filed on Jan. 3, the Des Plaines City Clerk’s office stated on Friday.

Carl Mauter-Hollenbeck filed objections to nominating petitions filed by mayoral candidate and Sixth Ward Alderman Mark Walsten, Gloria Ludwig, city clerk, stated.

Challenges to nominating petitions from Fifth Ward candidate Gregory Sarlo were also filed on Thursday, the city clerk stated, by Brian Burkross.

Information about the hearing including the time and date will be provided at a later time, Des Plaines City Clerk Ludwig stated. 

A lottery to determine the order names of candidates who filed petitions simultaneously was held in the Des Plaines City Clerk’s office on Jan. 3.
