Kotowski Wins 28th District Senate Seat

Daniel Kotowski beat Republican opponent Jim O'Donnell by more than 10 points during last night's elections.

Democratic incumbent Dan Kotowski will retain his seat as 28th District Senator. He beat Republican newcomer Jim O'Donnell by more than 10 points, according to the Cook County Clerk's website.

"At the end of the day, it wasn't about keeping the job. It's about doing what's right," Kotowski said.

He thanked a room full of supporters at the Ram tavern in Schaumburg, saying he won even in red areas, and was up by 14 points, thanks to his campaign volunteers.
