Fountain Blue Withdraws Tent Request

The withdrawal of the conditional use permit means the banquet tent must come down, according to the Daily Herald.

Fountain Blue in Des Plaines has withdrawn its request for a conditional use permit through the city in order to keep its 6,000-square foot Lions Gate Pavilion tent, which has been located on the property for the past three years, according to the Daily Herald.

The Daily Herald reports that the city in June rejected an application by Fountain Blue to allow the banquet tent on their property at 2300 Manheim Road. Fountain Blue resubmitted a permit application in November with some modifications, including an agreement to "forgo the playing of amplified music through the tent" following complaints, according to the article.

Now that Fountain Blue has withdrawn its application, the controversial tent will have to come down, according to the Daily Herald.
