Des Plaines Plugs Water Rate Increase
The water and sewer fund deficit would increase, if no action were taken by Des Plaines to address the water rate increase from Chicago, the Daily Herald reported.
A water rate increase from the City of Chicago will not be passed along to Des Plaines residents, as city council voted against a water rate increase at its meeting on Monday, the Daily Herald reported.
The City of Des Plaines increased its water and sewer rate by 21.23 percent at the beginning of 2012.
