Statistics show that holiday season is most dangerous time on roads.

Mayor Martin Moylan made an announcement at the beginning of the city council meeting Monday to remind residents December is Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month.

Deputy Chief Mike Kozak was there to accept the certificate.

Moylan read several statistics about the dangers of drunk driving. Nearly one third of all car crash deaths involve an alcohol-impaired driver, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
