Des Plaines Department Head Leaving for Lake Zurich

Des Plaines has lost three top managers in the city to Lake Zurich in the past year and a half. The latest to be leaving is Mike Earl.

Mike Earl, the city of Des Plaines' human resource manager, is leaving to take a position with Lake Zurich, the Daily Herald reports. He is the third management official in the village to leave for Lake Zurich. His new position will be the newly-created job of director of community services, with a salary of $129,000.
He follows former acting City Manager Jason Slowinski, who left Des Plaines to become the Lake Zurich Village Administrator in 2012, and Information Technology Director Michael Duebner, who also left last year.
