Des Plaines Aldermen Reevaluate Lobbyist Contracts

The Des Plaines City Council will talk about contract approval again on March 18, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Des Plaines officials are reevaluating contracts with three lobbying firms hired to represent the city in gambling expansion talks, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Aldermen postponed a contract extension for McGuire Woods Consulting, LLC on Monday, after many said they don’t remember giving approval for any of the lobbying firm’s contracts. The city plans to spend $110,000 on lobbyist services in 2013, the Chicago Tribune reports.  Officials will re-visit the contract discussion on March 18.
