City Manager Forgoes Iowa Position
Des Plaines' acting city manager, Jason Slowinski, has applied for openings across the country.
, Ames Patch reported. Slowinski was expected to interview in Ames this week and meet the public at City Hall on Wednesday.
Slowinski has applied for other city manager positions across the country, Journal and Topics Newspapers reported in August 2011. ousted the previous city manager, and eliminated funding for the city manager position from the budget in 2010.
A message left for Slowinski was not immediately returned.
