Woman Accused of Beating Children with Screwdriver in Hoffman Estates

A 26-year-old Rosemont woman has been arrested after police said she beat two children in Hoffman Estates with a screwdriver and also battered a third person before her arrest Monday afternoon, according to the Daily Herald. 

Jessica M. Zander is accused of beating a 1-year-old and 2-year-old with the screwdriver in the 1700 block of Burr Ridge Drive in Hoffman Estates. It did not appear the victim's injuries were serious and no one was taken to the hospital, according to the article.
