Cause of Death of Man Found in Parked Car Weeks Away

The medical examiner's office is completing toxicology studies on a Des Plaines man found in a hotel parking lot.

It will be several weeks before it is known what caused the death of a man found in the back seat of a vehicle parked in a hotel parking lot, 1450 Touhy Ave., on Saturday morning.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office completed an autopsy on Wesley Jaworski, 47, of Des Plaines, on Sunday. The cause and manner of death are pending the results of toxicology studies, which typically take three to six weeks, a representative for the medical examiner’s office said on Monday.

Commander Nick Treantafeles said there was not any new information available about the incident at this time.

Police stated there did not appear to be evidence to indicate foul play during a preliminary investigation.

Sixth Ward Alderman Mark Walsten reported the deceased man to police after he received an anonymous tip phone call. Walsten said he went to check to see if the caller was mistaken and it was a mannequin or something else. When he saw the body, he called police.
