Wednesday Blotter: River Grove Man Charged with Drug Possession after DUI Arrest, More

DUI of Alcohol, Drugs
Russell M. Green, age unknown, of River Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs combination, driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a controlled substance after police conducted a sobriety test in the 300 block of S. Bender Road between 2:13 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on May 11, police stated. A small bottle containing two pills and a white powdery substance was recovered by police. The white powder tested positive for the probable presence of cocaine,. Green was given a court date of May 24 at Skokie courthouse.

The front passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of E. Washington Street was smashed sometime between 10 p.m. on May 12 and 5:46 p.m. on May 13, police stated. Property loss was estimated at $300.
