Wednesday Blotter: More Than $26K in Equipment Stolen from Work Van, More

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Police found slashed tires on six vehicles parked on S. Ash Street and Highland Drive on July 9. Three cars parked in the 2000 block of S. Ash Street and three vehicles parked in the 1200 block of Highland Drive were slashed sometime between 10 p.m. on July 8 and 6:45 a.m. on July 9, police stated. Property loss was estimated at $1,600.

A van parked in the driveway of a residence in the 100 block of N. East River Road was burglarized sometime between 10 p.m. on July 5 and 12:30 p.m. on July 6. According to the report, the window on the passenger side of the cargo van was smashed and all of the owner’s work equipment was removed. Property loss was estimated at $26,600.

Theft

Police stated a white semi-trailer was stolen from a business parking lot in the 50 block of E. Howard Avenue sometime between noon on July 4 and 4:05 p.m. on July 5. Property loss was estimated at $10,000.
