Wednesday Blotter: $20,000 Stolen from Residence and More

Drinking in Public, Possession of Open Alcohol in Public
Mark T. Dranka, 43, of Des Plaines, and George Carl Lemke, age unknown, were charged with drinking in public after police observed the men in the middle of the road in the 1800 block of S. Mannheim Road at 9:51 a.m. on May 4. Lemke lied down on the ground in the parkway, and Dranka began walking away when police stopped him.

Dranka was also charged with possession of open alcohol in public, and both he and Lemke were given a court date of May 25 at Skokie courthouse.

Minors Prohibited in the Casino
Hoang Vi Pham, 18, of Chicago, was issued a citation for minors prohibited in the casino, after attempting to enter the gaming venue using his sister’s identification card at 9:42 p.m. on May 4, according to the report.
Criminal Damage to Property, Theft
John J. Sejda, 28, of Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to property and theft after two envelopes containing $10,000 each were reported stolen from a safe that was broken into at a residence in the 1800 block of Big Bend Drive sometime between 6 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on May 5, according to police. Property loss was estimated at $20,150.
