Wednesday Blotter: Graffiti on School, Aggravated DUI, More

Criminal Damage to Property
Plainfield School, 1850 S. Plainfield Drive, was vandalized with white spray paint sometime between 7 p.m. on May 18 and 7:45 a.m. on May 21, police reported. The graffiti appeared to be gang-related, and police stated, school personnel said that during evening hours “unsavory types have been frequenting school grounds making school personnel uncomfortable.” Property loss was estimated at $200.

Jose Antonio Berrios, 52, of Chicago, was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI and one felony count of driving while license revoked after police a traffic stop on him in the 600 block of S. River Road between 12:47 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on May 20.
Possession/Drinking in Public
Ricardo Rodriguez, 43, of Des Plaines, and Zenon Sanchez, 36, of Des Plaines, were issued citations for drinking in public after police observed them drinking beer at Apache Park, 2100 S. Pine St., between 4:10 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on May 18.
