Wednesday Blotter: $16K in Landscaping, Construction Equipment Stolen, More

Burglary

Computers, jewelry and other items were reported stolen from a condo on the 1400 block of E. Thacker Street sometime between 11:10 a.m. and 3:25 p.m. on Aug. 31, police stated. The front door of the residence was pried open with a pry tool, possibly a screwdriver, according to the report.

Items reported missing included a silver Dell laptop in a black cloth case, a white iPad with a sky blue cover, diamond and gold rings, a gold necklace and bracelet, and a Louis Vuitton arm bag. Property loss was estimated at $6,500.

Burglary

Tools and bicycles were reported stolen from a residential garage on the 1600 block of Wicke Avenue between 4 p.m. on Sept. 1 and noon on Sept. 2, police stated. Items taken included Dewalt saws, a Ridgid metal saw, a Shtil concrete saws, a Clark machine welder, a Migmag machine welder, a Honda generator, a Senco nail gun, a Makita saw, a Trek 6000 men’s mountain bicycle and a Trek 8.4 model women’s mountain bicycle. Property loss was estimated at $7,200.

Burglary

Landscaping and construction tools and equipment were stolen from a construction yard on the 1200 block of E. Golf Road sometime between noon on Sept. 3 and 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 4, police stated.

The fence surrounding the storage yards, and various locks, were cut and the items then removed. The stolen tools included Dewalt and Bosch brands handheld electric tools, Echo blowers, Echo pole trimmers, a concrete saw, gravel tamper, grinder, drills, snow blowers, leaf blowers, weed whackers, a chainsaw and more. Property loss was estimated at $16,905.
