Battery/Burglary

Monday Sept. 13 at 5:45 a.m., a man reported that an unknown, bald, white male was walking around his residence on the 900 block of Mason Lane, near the victim's garage with a flashlight. When the victim approached the man he flashed the light into the victim's eyes, causing temporary blindness and then struck the victim in the head. The victim chased the man, catching up to him only to have him bite the victim's thumb, causing a laceration. The man ran to a car described as an older gold, Toyota Camry or Corolla and when the victim tried to apprehend him again, he elbowed the victim and said, "Lemme go," and drove off according to reports. The victim refused to be treated for his injuries.

Suspicious Person Report

Police returned to the residence on the 900 block of Mason Lane on Sept. 14 at 3:39 a.m. when the battery victim called to report two men wearing all black in his backyard. While on the phone with dispatch, the victim observed the two men getting into a gold, Toyota Camry or Corolla. While police were searching for the suspects a call from dispatch came in stating that a woman in the area had called to report hearing what she thought to be gun shots. When officers returned to Mason Lane to report that they were unable to find the suspects, the victim admitted to shooting at them with a paintball gun and chasing after them in his van. Police advised the victim to stay home and call DPPD if he saw any other suspicious activity.
