Tuesday Blotter: Graffiti Found in Three Incidents

Criminal Defacement of Property - Graffiti
Police were dispatched for a graffiti report in the 1000 block of E. Touhy Avenue at 7:32 a.m. on Nov. 5. According to the report, a Dumpster, parking lot pavement and a bus stop were all vandalized with white spray paint.

Criminal Defacement of Property - Graffiti
Police responded to a vandalism report in the 1700 block of E. Oakton Street on at 1:07 p.m. on Nov. 6. According to the report, a passerby reported two subjects in the alley behind the building, possibly defacing the property.

When police arrived on the scene they determined the silver and yellow spray-painted graffiti was not freshly made. Police stopped the two subjects, and determined they had no connection to the graffiti. A clerk at the business told police the defacement must have occurred between 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 1:05 p.m. Nov. 6.

Police were dispatched for a defacement of property report in the 1700 block of S. Illinois Street at 12:36 p.m. on Nov. 6. According to the report, an unknown offender vandalized an aluminum sided garage with red spray paint sometime between 9 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 6.
