Tuesday Blotter: Fountain Blue Noise Complaint, Stolen Vodka, More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft

A bottle of Grey Goose vodka was stolen from Binny’s liquor store, 767 W. Golf Road, at 10:43 a.m. on Aug. 28. Police stated a man and woman were seen on surveillance video entering the store at 10:37 a.m. They pushed a cart around the store and put two bottles of vodka in it.

Then, the man stepped behind a pillar, hidden from store employees. The woman handed him one of the vodka bottles from the cart, which he wedged in the waistband of his pants. The couple then exited the store without paying for the liquor.

The black male subject was described as approximately six feet tall, 190 pounds, 25-30 years old, with short black hair and a trimmed goatee. He wore a red T-shirt, blue jeans and possibly had a tattoo on his left forearm.

The black female subject was described as approximately five feet four inches tall, 180 pounds, 20-25 years old, with the sides of her head shaved and longer hair in the back, wearing short black shorts, a white midriff T-shirt and possibly a tattoo around her naval.


Malicious Mischief – Egging

Police stated two vehicles parked on the 1400 block of E. Walnut Avenue were egged sometime between 8 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 8:55 a.m. on Aug. 25.

Disturbing the Peace

Fountain Blue, 2300 S. Mannheim Road, was issued a citation for disturbing the peace after a nearby resident complained about loud noise at the banquet hall at 9:39 p.m. on Aug. 25.
