Former Des Plaines cop Timothy Veit is charged with falsifying records in order to get grant funding for overtime pay.

No trial motions have been filed in the case against former Des Plaines police officer Timothy Veit, the Journal & Topics reports. The deadline to file a motion in the case is May 21.

Veit has been charged with falsifying records in order to get grant funding for overtime pay. Veit was accused of inflating the number of DUI arrests that would qualify for the federal funds from 30 to 152, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, between 2009 and 2012. Thirteen other police officers have been suspended following an investigation into the issue.
