Thursday Police Blotter: Vehicle Vandalized, Bike Stolen and More

Vehicle vandalism

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue on Jan. 8. According to the report, an unknown person(s) used a projectile to break the window of a parked vehicle. The victim told police this is the second time this has happened to her. No arrests were made.

Pot possession

A 24-year-old Waukegan man was charged with possession of marijuana on Jan. 8. The suspect was stopped in the 300 block of Golf Road for a traffic violation, the report stated. He had about four-grams of marijuana in his possession, according to police.

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 1300 block of Prairie Avenue on Jan. 9. According to the report, pink spray pint was used to write several words on the east side of a building.

Stolen bike

A man reported his $500 mountain bike stolen from a bicycle rack in the 1300 block of Webford Avenue on Jan. 9. The victim told police that the offender cut the lock prior to taking his bicycle, the report stated.
