Thursday Blotter: Office Burglary, Gas Theft, Criminal Damage to Property

Brick flies into man's home and couple flees with free gas in their Lexus. (That's one way to save money for a car payment.)

Burglary

Wednesday at 2:13 p.m. police responded to a report of burglary at a business office at 50 W. Oakton St. A man reported cash missing from a desk drawer that appeared to be pried open. No other items were missing from the office. A few doors in the communal hallways of the building had pry marks on them as well but it did not appear thieves made access. Multiple people have master keys to the building, including the cleaning crew and previous tenants. Total estimated property loss: $263.

Wedensday at 3:02 p.m. police responded to a report of gasoline theft at a service station at 710 Wolf Rd. An unidentified man and woman pumped $29.99 worth of gas into a silver Lexus and left without paying (Maybe they spent all of their money on the Lexus?).
