Sexual Abuse Victims Sought by Cook County Sheriff
Cook County detectives believe there may be more sexual abuse victims of a Des Plaines man charged with criminal sexual assault, the Cook County Sheriff's office stated on Friday.

The Cook County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help to locate sexual abuse victims of a Des Plaines man charged with criminal sexual assault, the sheriff’s office stated on Friday.
Pareshkumar Desai, 50, of Des Plaines, was charged with seven felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and two felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on Feb. 20, the Cook County Sheriff’s office stated, after police received a call about young girls being touched by Desai.

“Relatives called sheriff’s police on Feb. 10 after a nine-year-old girl told a relative that Desai inappropriately touched her and two eight-year-old girls at a gathering in Mount Prospect,” the Cook County Sheriff’s office stated.
Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart is asking for the public’s help, according to the statement, because detectives believe there may be more victims of Desai.

Desai is being held at Cook County jail on a $900,000 bond, the sheriff’s office stated, and his next court date is March 20 at Skokie courthouse.
