Report: Des Plaines Deputy Chief Demoted To Patrol Commander

The Journal and Topics is reporting that Des Plaines Deputy Police Chief Mike Kozak was demoted to patrol commander.

Des Plaines Deputy Police Chief Mike Kozak has been demoted to the rank of patrol commander, the Journal and Topics newspaper reported.

The newspaper stated that Police Chief William Kushner confirmed the change. Paul Burger was named deputy chief to replace, Kozak, the Journal and Topics reported.

Kushner became police chief in September 2012. Kushner followed James Prandini who retired at the end of 2011. Kozak served as interim chief after Prandini's retirement.
