Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

After unsuccessfully attempting to wake Woltman, police opened the driver’s door to the truck, and, according to the report, part of a metal scrub pad was on the floor inside the vehicle.

After Woltman woke up, he exited the truck, and, as he did, according to the report, a metal pipe with burnt residue and metal scrub pad material in one end, typically used to ingest rock cocaine, fell out of his lap.

Police stated they also recovered from the pickup truck a soda can bottom with white residue on one side and black soot on the other side, a syringe with red liquid, suspected to be blood and heroin, and three unused syringes.

The residue from the soda can tested positive for the probable presence of heroin.

Woltman told police, according to the report, he was a heroin addict and “smokes crack” occasionally. Woltman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was given a court date of Dec. 20 at Skokie courthouse.
