Police Logs: Male Steals Christmas Wreaths and Returns Them for Credit, Rocks Thrown at Dog

Burlington Police Department logs for Dec. 10 to 11.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 10

  • At 1:14 p.m. a Center Street caller said items were thrown out of a passing school bus window in her direction. Caller said this was the third time in the past two weeks.
  • At 7:10 p.m. a Forest Road caller reported someone rang her door bell and ran away. This has been going on the last few nights. Police checked the area but did not see anyone in the area.
  • At 8:01 p.m. police issued a summons to a Manchester, NH man on a charge of larceny under $250. Summons issued after a Market Basket manager reported the man took Christmas reefs from the front of the store and then went inside to return them and received merchandise credit for them.
  • At 10:15 p.m. a Great Pines Avenue reported lour music coming from a residence. Police found home with two speakers in an open window on full blast and nobody would answer the door.

Dec. 11

  • At 2:42 a.m. a Glen Avenue caller reported he was assaulted by two males and that before assault they wouldn't let him out of a vehicle. Man said the two males left in a gray Chevy Impala.
  • At 3:20 p.m. an Old Colony Road caller reported a bonfire in a neighbor's yard. Fire Department handled the situation.
  • At 4:27 p.m. a Fairfax Street caller reported a neighbor threw a rock at her dog.
  • At 7:05 p.m. a Best Buy employee reported two laptops stolen. Suspects fled on Route 95 north. State police notified.
  • At 7:30 p.m. a manager at JoS A Bank reported a male customer causing a disturbance. Police trespassed male from the store.
