Police discovered a deceased husband and wife, Roger and Angelita James, in their Arlington Heights residence on Wednesday morning in what police have reported was a murder-suicide. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office reported on Thursday Angelita died from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the face. According to the report, Roger died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Roger had a violent past, according to the Daily Herald. In 2003 he was charged with battery stemming from an incident in Des Plaines in which Angelita got a bloody nose.
