Monday Blotter: Piping Torn from Walls, Attempted Burglary, More

Criminal Damage to Property, Criminal Trespass to Real Property

Police reported a residence in the 2000 block of S. Pine Street was damaged by an unknown offender sometime between 6:35 p.m. on May 17 and 2:49 p.m. on May 19. According to the report, 17 holes were found in the walls, and dryer and air conditioning piping was torn from the walls. Property loss was estimated $1,000.

Attempted Burglary

An unknown offender attempted to gain access to a supply trailer in a fenced yard at a business in the 1300 block of Lee Street sometime between 6 p.m. on May 18 and 7:14 a.m. on May 19. Police stated the offender pulled the fender off the side of the trailer and then attempted to pry each individual rivet on the side of the paneling, but was unable to gain access.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Police stated a pick-up truck parked in the 800 block of E. Oakton Street was vandalized with white paint sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. on May 20. Property loss was estimated at $50.
