Monday Blotter: Battery at Casino, Vandalism, More

Battery

Daniel J. Cwynar, 25, of Chicago, was charged with battery following a fight with another patron at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, sometime between 3:13 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. on May 27. Policed stated, after viewing video footage, Cwynar was seen chest-bumping another patron, and then both men swung at each other with closed fists.

Cwynar then struck the other patron in the face with a brown glass bottle he was holding. He was given a court date of June 18 at Skokie courthouse.

Criminal Defacement of Property

Police were dispatched for a vandalism report in the 600 block of S. First Avenue at Prairie Avenue at 12:24 p.m. on May 29. Two stop signs at the intersection were defaced with black and blue markings, and property loss was estimated at $50.

Criminal Damage to Property

Police were called for a vandalism report at West Park, 651 Wolf Road, at 10:08 a.m. on May 29. Police stated sometime between 4 p.m. on May 25 and 7 a.m. on May 29 a picnic table was damaged with marks made with white and black markers. Property loss was estimated at $50.
